kate moross graphical designer



                                                                      Kate Moross

Kate Moross is an English graphical designer, illustrator and art director who is mainly based in London. Moross studied at South Hampstead high school, Wimbledon school of art and achieved a ba at the Camberwell school of art. Not much else is known about her personal life as she has kept private but a lot is known about her working life.



Her designs are recognised all over the country working for big companies like cadburys and ford to promote there main products at the time. She has also worked for social media companies such as Skype and newspapers like the guardian. Her art style is also shown in her clothing and hair styles which is typically brash unique and a explosion of colour. 

My favourite image that she has done is the 4th image on the list that i have put on this blog. I really love the way that the colours have all been used to make this image standout. The different kinds of fonts for the words are all really cool looking and if you have a good eye you could notice the way the style changes depending on the word. For example dancing is swirly and shaky to match the quick movements that dancing requires. 

To do this great work of art takes a lot of time and effort. To start with she hand draws the entire image in order to get a idea of what she wants the final image to be. Once she has made her decision she scans the image into photoshop in order to point out some issues and make the necessary adjustments. Finally Kate uses illustrator to add colour to it and give it that well known Kate Moss style touch.

When i first found out about this documentary i got really excited to watch it as it had a very fascinating idea around it. The thought of someone eating mcdonalds every day for a week is dangerous,stupid but kind of needs to be done. In 2004 Morgan Spurlock decided to under take a experiment to see what the effects of living on a diet completely of mcdonalds would be. This film does a good job in helping you to understand how dangerous this can be with having professionals give there opinions on this plan.

The film does have a few moments throughout that make you feel uncomfortable such as the sick scene and the visual presentations of potential health issues. Overall the presenter does a pretty good job of holding this film together with his funny wit and loveable personality. The film does a good job in giving the peoples views as well using a few scenes to let viewers explain there thoughts on mcdonalds and how much they like it.

There is some sad moments too such as having accounts from people who have been effected by the mcdonalds boom. My big problem with this film though is that it fails to show mcdonalds point of view i would of like to have seen mcdonalds be able to explain themselves more. This did feel like one big constructive hate campaign on mcdonalds not even giving them a chance to give a explanation.

Overall the film is a solid outing giving really good facts and the presenter is does a good job in taking you for a ride showing you in detail why you should no exclusively eat mcdonalds. Sadly the running time and the fact that mcdonalds didn't get enough time to explain themselves kinda took away from the experience which i feel really dragged on but i am glad that they didn't hold back good film overall.

This injury lawyers 4 u advert comes under a celebrity endorsed advert having a british actor represent the companies advertisement campaign. This advert is also benefit based explaining what benefits you would get for using them.


A parody advert like this is a more light hearted and humorous approach to advertising a product. It doesn't really focus on anything else such as demonstrating the service or anything it just parodies a certain event to show that this company is a relaxed easy going company that you can enjoy being served under.

Both adverts are focused on grabbing the viewers attention but both also use different ways to advertise the lawyers ad takes a more serious theme and explains the benefits of there service. Also using a celebrity helps as it makes the customer believe that if a celebrity is endorsing the product it must be good. where as the t mobile ad only focuses on parodying the ad to attract younger customers as it is the younger audience who is there main customer base.
